Preheat the waffle maker. Beat eggs, milk, and cinnamon sugar together; pour into a shallow pan suitable for soaking the sandwiches (I used a 7x11 glass baker). Assemble sandwiches: 1 slice of bread, 1 slice of cheese, 1/8lb of ham, 1/8lb of turkey, 2nd slice of cheese, 1 slice of bread. Place sandwich in egg mixture and allow it to soak for about a minute. Flip sandwiches in egg mixture and let soak for another minute.
Spray your waffle maker with nonstick spray, and place a sandwich (or both of them if you have room) into the waffle maker – I used a large pancake flipper to transfer the sandwiches. Gently press the waffle maker closed. Cook for a couple of minutes, until the bread is browned and the cheese is melted. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with prepared Very Cherry Cheese Ball swirled with Rhubarb Strawberry Fruit Spread. Makes 2 sandwiches.
