  • ¾ cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup water
  • 14 peanut butter cups, divided
  • 6 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • ½ cup milk chocolate chips

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Combine first three ingredients in a medium bowl. Roughly chop 10 peanut butter cups; gently fold into cake batter. Divide batter between two well-greased 8 or 9-inch cake pans. Bake 20-25 minutes or until set. Cool completely.
  3. To make glaze, microwave peanut butter about 15-20 seconds. Add powdered sugar, vanilla and cream; whisk briskly until slightly thickened.
  4. Place one cake layer on a serving plate; top with half of glaze. Place second layer on top; add remaining glaze. Gently melt chocolate chips using a double boiler or microwave; drizzle over the top.
  5. Serve and garnish with remaining chopped peanut butter cups.
